Shoebox Appeal - Ukraine
As I write this it is Independence day also known as Ukraine Flag Day when Ukrainians are celebrating the 34 years of independence from Russia.
There is no real sign that the war in Ukraine is going to end soon, despite all the negotiations that are taking place behind the scenes. Russia continues to send drones and missiles into Ukraine with devastating effects, which is why, the people in Ukraine still need our support so we continue to collect vital aid to be sent to those who need it working with the “One Project Ukraine”.
As last year we are looking to support the children in Ukraine with our “Shoe Box Appeal”. This year wrapped and filled shoe boxes can be dropped off at Glossop Central Methodist Church, where Beth and I will collect them to send off to Ukraine.
Last year with your help and people from the circuit we collected and sent off more than 1400 shoe boxes.
