Brass Band Concert – Hollingworth – 20th April

Hollingworth Methodist Church invites you to a brass band concert on Sat 20th April at 7.30pm. The Arnfield Brass will be playing and there will also be a pie supper all welcome. Cost £6

 

3Gen Meeting – Hollingworth – 21st April

Calling all those who went to 3Gen last year or maybe you fancy going to 3Gen this year (4th-6th Oct). We are meeting at Hollingworth Methodist Church from 6.30pm – 8pm on Sun 21st April to catch up and to make plans for this years 3Gen. If you think that you might like to go in Oct, come along and see what fun we had.

EDI Training – Glossop Central – 30th April

There will be a EDI (Equality, Diversity and Inclusion) training session on Tues 30th April starting at 6pm for 6.30pm start. All local preachers, worship leaders, church safeguarding officers, church and circuit stewards need to undertake this training from the Methodist Church.  There will be another training session on 1st June at Stalybridge at 9.30am  To book onto either training sessions please email admin@gtmethodist.org

Spanish Teatime Mini-Break Stalybridge Methodist Church - 11th May

You are invited to come and join us on Saturday, 11th May from 5pm – 7pm at our Spanish Teatime Mini-Break. You will be able to enjoy a Tapas-style meal whilst listening to live Spanish Music with our classical guitarist. You can also take the opportunity to test your travel knowledge and take part in a Domino Rally. Craft activities will be available for children

Contemporary Worship – Hurst Methodist Church – 12th May

We will be holding our circuit contemporary service on Sun 12th May at 7pm. Rev Rob will be preaching.

 

Trentham Gardens Trip – Denton Methodist Church - 1st June

We at Denton are organising a day trip to Trentham Gardens. There are not just the gardens, but also a Monkey Forest, a Shopping Village, and many beautiful walks, (please look at their website). The trip will take place on Saturday the 1st of June, and just to make it a real day out, we have arranged with the Egerton Arms at Astbury near Congleton to call there for an early evening meal. The cost for the coach will be £19.00.  A meal menu will be available shortly and will be distributed to everyone coming along.

We have a few seats on the coach available and thought it would be rather nice to be able to make it a day when we could get together with people from other churches around the circuit.

Eco Tips – April

Fit more active travel into your day and daily routine. Reevaluate your journeys: explore walking or cycling options, or modify your route to include some form of active travel, i.e. disembark a stop early and complete the remaining part of your journey on foot, indulge in a leisurely stroll, or opt for a bike ride along a cyclist-friendly route. Consider connecting with your local Ramblers or cycling group for shared experiences. Use the extra steps or the changed travel arrangements as a prompt

to pray for God’s creation, nature’s preservation and the reduction in fossil fuel usage.
