Hollingworth Methodist Church invite you to reflect and thrive on Fri 7th Aug from 4pm – 5pm. It is a chance to stop, enjoy nature in the wildlife garden and listen to God.

 

Family Fun Day – Glossop Methodist Church – 15th Aug

Glossop Methodist Church invites you to their family fun day on Sat 15th Aug from 2.30m til  5pm. There will be lots to do including outdoor games, eco games, mini gardens, crafts, barbecue and refreshments. All are welcome.

Nature and Art Day – Hollingworth Methodist Church – 29th Aug

Hollingworth Methodist Church is holding a nature and art day on Sat 29th Aug from 11am – 2pm.  There will be various art displays, outside activities, crafts and picnic style lunches available.

There are a few summer holiday clubs for children being planned across the circuit over August. We are looking for volunteers to help with craft, games and refreshments.  Can you help with a morning or afternoon of your time?  If you might be interested would like more information, then contact Katie (admin@gtmethodist.org).

 

Playtime Conference – 19th Sept

Calling all toddler group leader and volunteers. Care for the family are hosting a day on 19th Sept in Wigan. They will be gathering those who lead and volunteer in church toddler groups.  There will be speakers, sessions, resources and materials and a chance to meet others who give their time to provide a vital resource to parents and children.

You will need to book a ticket via the link Playtime Conference which has all the information about the day. There is some circuit funding available to help with the cost. A lift can be arranged as there a few spaces in a car available, please speak to Katie for more details.

 

New Worship Leaders

Do you feel a call to lead worship in your church?  The circuit are looking for people who feel that they would like to know more about worship leading in their local church.  There would be some training to support you and that would be able to be done within the circuit. We are hoping to start the training in the autumn and it would be about 6 sessions. If you think that this is something that you would like to know more then please speak to your minister.

JULY

It’s Plastic Free July and this year we’re thinking about laundry, a top source of microplastic pollution. Fibres from synthetic clothes (polyester, nylon, and acrylic for example) shed tiny fibres during washing and drying. These enter the sewage systems and are hard to filter out. Use a microfibre bag or ball to catch the fibres.
